I use computers in a variety of venues, and they are frequently configured with options which are not to my liking; this page is my cheat-sheet to configure them to my own preferences.
Removing the Yahoo Companion browser toolbar:
1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. On the Yahoo toolbar, click the Edit button (it appears as a pencil), and then click Remove... on the shortcut menu that appears. NOTE: If you cannot see the Edit button, expand the toolbar.
3. You receive the following message:
Uninstalling will remove Yahoo! Companion from your browser.
Do you still want to remove Yahoo! Companion?
Click Yes.
4. You receive the following message:
Yahoo! Companion has been uninstalled. Please restart your browser.
Click OK.
5. Quit Internet Explorer, and then restart it.

Removing the 2020search.com toolbar:
1. open Internet Explorer
2. click on the 2020Search button on the toolbar
3. a drop-down menu will appear
4. click on "Uninstall"
5. the uninstall program will run and remove the toolbar
