Christmas of 2010 is 10.12.25. This is a slight variant of the standard ISO 8601, using only two digits for the year (there will be no further century ambiguity in my lifetime), and periods for delimiters because I can find that key by touch whereas I have to look for the hyphen or virgule (commonly known as slash).
